Dico Mask

Born and raised in Rome, Italy, DICO', also known as 'The Fire Artist,' draws his inspiration from both the Roman art scene and his experience in America, which had an innovatice impact on his work: the combustion of plexiglass. In 2012, he exhibited his first piece using the new technique, 'Homage to Marilyn', in commemoration of the late diva in the Galleria Cà d'Oro, after which he received a great deal of attention from the public and critics, and immediately gained a reputation as a cutting-edge artist in both Italy and America. He would later be invited by the Italian Embassy in Monte Carlo to exhibit in the Principality of Monaco for two years running during the Month of Culture, would subsequently have two of his works displayed at Barclays Bank, and later the number of celebrities that would ask to be featured in a portrait by Dicò began to skyrocket. In light of this unprecedented time in history, Dicò has made face masks exclusively for GENTE Roma with highlights of two of his most famous works: Marilyn and the Joker.
