Demna Gvasalia focuses the collection on the environmental impact of his garments and focuses on sustainability. 93.5% of the materials used in the collection have been certified as organic, recycled or produced through the upcycling process. In addition, most of the silhouettes are oversized and unisex as "this will reduce the environmental impact of a gendered production model." Gvasalia explained in detail that producing oversized garments reduces the number of cuts needed, which also reduces waste with a lighter production. For the Spring/Summer 2021 collection, pajamas and robes have been recontextualized as outfits for occasions, meetings, and work, and similarly, 90s-style tracksuits are repurposed and made strikingly appropriate for a possible post-Covid style context.
